What’s on in July

July Highlights  

Every month, Nice, France features various special events and attractions which are greatly enjoyed by both tourists and city locals. This month of July, here are some of the events lined up in Nice.  

Voucalia, Festival of Mediterranean Polyphony and Traditional Music.

If you love open-air concerts and gentle Meditteranean music then the Festival of Mediterranean Polyphony and Traditional Music in Voucalia is the perfect event for you.  

Nice Jazz Festival.

Nice Jazz Festival would be held in the amphitheatre and the gardens of Cimiez from July 18 to July 25. Listen to the most prestigious musicians here in this week long celebration of Jazz music. 

Nuits Musicales de Nice / International Academy of Summer Music

Attending one of the classical concerts of Le Nuits Musicales de Nice is a great way to unwind and de-stress.  

Musicalia (Theatre de Verdure)

This concert which would be held at the Theatre de Verdure would take you to a musical journey from India to Persia and Armenia to Argentina and Mexico. 

Bastille Day Celebration.

Take part in France’s national celebration on the 14th of July by participating in the festivities at the Promenade des Anglais. Watch fireworks by the sea or you could even join the open air Grand Ball. 

La Castellada.

Take a two hour walking tour on the Castle Hill and discover the history of Nice and the Château de Nice.  

International Open Summer Chess Tournament.

If you’re into chess, then Nice’s International Open Summer Chess Tournament is definitely the place to be.
